How do I cancel or pause my subscription?

If you are a paid subscriber on YouTube, tap You, then Purchases and memberships, select the creator membership, and cancel it; on desktop, click your profile picture, choose Purchases and memberships, select the membership, and cancel from there.

If you subscribe through Apple Podcasts, in the Apple Podcasts app, open Listen Now, tap your profile icon, choose Manage Subscriptions, select the podcast subscription, and cancel; on desktop, manage it through your Apple Account subscriptions in the App Store or System Settings.

If you are a subscriber on Substack, you can cancel anytime.

The easiest and fastest way is to go to your account page and do it yourself with no haggling. If you’re having trouble, Subtack (which hosts our site) has an FAQ on cancelling.

Unless you want a prorated refund and immediate cancellation (in which case you should contact us), cancelling your subscription will give you access to your paid benefits for the remainder of your term.

To Pause: If you'd like to pause your subscription, click "Pause Subscription" on your account management page and select from the drop-down box how many months you'd like charges to be stopped for. You do not have access to paid content during a pause.

Refunds & Billing Issues: Refunds take 3-5 days. If you selected the wrong tier and were overcharged, downgrade your subscription on your account page to be refunded the difference. If you were double charged, find out which email addresses are signed up, the last 4 digits of any cards charged, billing ZIP code and email us.
